Incompetency of Teachers

بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

I don't know how to start this but I have to raise my voice. The following blog is my own story, what I experienced, what I saw and what I think. I was a great student so I didn't have any problems regarding my studies. I was a normal student as usually, the students are so I didn't have any problems with teachers and the education system. Being a position holder the teachers, the school staff give you the importance and you feel special. But these feelings weren't from the start. I studied my primary education at Fauji Foundation School in Gujrat/Pakistan. I was there until class/grade 6. Then I went to another school Wisdom House (a private school and a standard school based in a village but it is a branch of Wisdom House Channan a higher standard school).

The following blog is not going to be about me I am sharing the problems that should be discussed and solved. This blog is not about offending teachers and the system it is about the reality we as students face. I don't want to hurt anybody but not raising these types of problems makes an unhealthy, unsafe, insecure society.

Teachers usually give us homework. Some of us don't do, some of us do and sometimes we don't. And there is no problem in saying or advising these students what to do. The problem comes when these teachers bring a hard stick which is used to beat us, we the innocent students. (Yes, I am writing innocent students because every child is innocent, their experiences made them rude). Aside from this these sticks are used to beat us, abuse us, making a shame of us and physically harass us. I am not against punishments, I am against the culture of torturing, abusing and making us feel we are nothing but a body moving around. These types of punishments are not only used for not doing homework or classwork, every teacher does it whenever she/he wants.

Have these teachers ever considered what impact they gave to us? We feel like they are monster, they are cruel, violent and an abusive person.

I am studying in Spain now, I feel more safe about studying here, the system and the teachers make me feel guilty when I do bad, make me feel happy when I do good. But therein Sub-Asia (Pakistan, India, etc.) there we feel the teacher is just beating us, she or he has no motive to make us correct but just make us ashamed of them.

I was discussing with a Sir, here in Spain, that punishment is acceptable and teachers should do this. He said, such beautiful words " Punishment is right but those teachers who physically torture their students don't instil love and respect in their hearts, they instil fear. There is no respect for those types of teachers, students only have a fear".

Which is absolutely right, Aren't we scared of those teachers who beat us? Do we really respect those teachers?

The aggressive behaviours of children are absolutely due to what they experienced, what their surroundings make them. Every psycho person is who, who had a bad childhood. Due to school, parents and due to strictness. This violent behaviour makes them criminals and leads them to do bad things.

Has any teacher considered how to make a child better rather than beating him/her? When teachers beat us do we really think this is for our improvement? The answer is no because we don't care when such behaviour becomes a daily occurrence. Excessive punishment makes us feel that this is a matter of a few minutes and everything will be fine after bearing the punishment. So bear the punishment and move on. So the motive remains meaningless and we don't improve ourselves.

I beg to all teachers, especially the system. Please change your behaviour. Please think about improving us rather than beating us.

Your behaviour has a great impact on our future. Don't make us feel we are nothing, we will not achieve anything, we are useless, we will be jobless, etc. These types of phrases mentally abuse us. Just imagine if someone says these types of words to your every day and every time, what will you feel, what will you think, how will you love your self, how will you boost your self-confidence?

Your use of words has a great impact on us, understand it. Rather than changing students understand them and change your beliefs. Your one move will make us feel that our teachers feel for us, our teachers want us to improve ourselves.

And no student is rude or cruel until you make them. Change yourself until something wrong happens!

Aur kuch kehne sai pehle zara wo hadees btate jana. "Jahan ustaad mare wahan jahanam ki aaghe nai lgti.

Thank you.
